God's Righteous Judgment

II Thessalonians 1:4-12

1. God's judgment is just. (vs. 4-5) Eph 2:8-9, James 2:17-26

2. God's judgment is eternal. (vs. 6-10) Matt 7:21 and 25:41, Rev 20:10, Matt 10:28 and 24:51, Mark 9:43, Ps 88:44-74:20-116:3-140:10, Is 59:10-38:18-24:22, Ez 32:24, Ecl 9:10, Rev 18:2 and 14:11

3. God's judgment is coming soon, therefore we must save souls now. (vs. 11-12) Col 1:23, I Tim 2:4

Growing in Your Faith

II Thessalonians 1:1-4

1. The Church is established in God through Jesus Christ. (vs. 1)

2. By the grace if God in Christ we have great God glorifying potential. (vs. 2) Eph 2:8-10, 1 Cor 15:8-10

3. We then must grow in our faith to unleash God's calling, to His glory. (vs. 3-4)

A. How do I know if I'm growing?
1. You are abounding in love.
2. You are enduring trials. I Pet 1:6-7

B. How do I grow in my faith? II Pet 2:2
1. You take in God's Word.
2. You act on God's Word.

C. What do I do if I don't want to grow?
1. You will wither away inside. Luke 13:6
2. You will choke out the work of the Holy Spirit.
3. You will bear little to no fruit.
