Walking in the Peace of God

II Thessalonians 3:16-18

I. Our God is the Lord of peace. Matt 24:6, Philip 4:11-13, 4:7, Dan 3, II Sam 12:20, Gal 5:22-23, Gen 30:1, Num 20:10-11

II. He is the only giver of real peace. Prov 23:5, 31:30, Rom 8:28, II Tim 4:16-17, Col 1:19-23

III. The peace He offers is always available in every situation. Num16:14, Rom 8:5-8, Col 3:14, Philip 4:6, Eph 4:3

Do Not Grow Weary In Doing Good

II Thessalonians 3:13

I. Wrestling solely with issues will make you weary. Wrestling with the Lord brings strength. (II Thes. 3, Luke 18:1-8) Rev 12:9-11, Eph 2:8-10, Gen 32:28

II. Engaging in sin will wear you out. Engaging the Lord will bring endurance. (Heb. 12:1-4) Ps 31:10, 38:4

III. Being overwhelmed by affliction will wear you out. Keeping an eternal perspective will strengthen you. (II Cor. 4:16-18)

IV. Ministering in the flesh will wear you out. Walking in the Spirit will empower you. (Gal. 6:8-10)

V. A faithless life will wear you out. Taking steps of faith will strengthen you. (Heb. 10:35-39) Num 13, 14:32 Joshua 14:10-11
